IFM Executive Officer Role

Role purpose

The Administration Officer’s role is to assist IFM Directors and officers with the efficient running of IFM business by providing administrative and office management support.

 

Position

Administration Officer will be part of the Executive Team responsible for the overall management of the IFM and will report to the Chief Executive Officer.

The Administration Officer will provide a secretariat service to IFM governance meetings:  Board of Trustees, Executive Team, Advisory Council, Annual General Meeting and Policy Forum.  The role will also assist the Policy Director in developing policy statements and responses to consultations.

 

Specific Duties

  1. Organise (dates, meeting venues and collate papers) for key IFM meetings
  2. Take and produce minutes of those meetings
  3. Assist the Policy Director, in the role of ‘Ecology Policy Advocate’, in the collation of information to develop policy statements and respond to consultations
  4. Assist the Membership Officer with maintenance of the Membership Database

 

Commitment

The role is likely to require, on average 3 – 6 hours of time per week.

 

Remuneration

The position is unpaid but an honorarium of £1000 will be awarded.

Travel and subsistence payments will be available in line with current IFM policy.
