About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for high-calibre, motivated and commercially-minded scientists to join our growing fisheries team.
APEM is seeking to recruit enthusiastic individuals with a proven track record in a consultancy or regulatory environment in a relevant field. You will have specialist knowledge and skills to enable you to assist with the management and technical consultancy of projects in the areas of estuarine and marine fisheries. A strong background in marine fisheries science and the application of this knowledge to environmental assessments and studies is required.
APEM’s fisheries team is currently undertaking projects on the impacts of marine/estuarine developments, Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), fish entrainment/impingement assessments and Marine Protected Area assessments. An understanding of UK fisheries legislation and its application to monitoring and environmental assessments will be an advantage.
