Dear colleagues,
as we are all aware, The COVID-19 pandemic is presenting huge challenges to the whole world – to people, businesses and economies.
The Institute of Fisheries Management is thinking of those of you right now who might have lost friends or relatives, and where your business might be struggling due to the restrictions on movement.
In line with government guidance, IFM is changing or postponing activities.

Some examples are as follows:

  • Delivering Action for Salmon conference will now be held on 8th– 10thDecember
  • Electrofishing courses will be held in September and October
  • Field course weekends for the Certificate and Award courses will be held in September

We have also issued advice to Fisheries Managers who have had to close their doors recently due to Coronavirus. You can find the article here

The Training Team have recently launched a new initiative to allow people to take units from the Certificate Course as one off, standalone modules. If you are interested in taking part the details are on the website
