Inland Fisheries Ireland is the state agency responsible for the protection, management and conservation of Ireland’s inland fisheries and sea angling resources.

The Technician role is responsible for providing technical support to the Research Officer/Senior Research Officer. He/she will carry out and assist in the necessary Water Framework Directive fish monitoring surveys using standard European fish sampling methodologies and assist in the compilation of relevant biotic and abiotic information for a range of waterbodies.

Candidates should have a relevant qualification, and demonstrable experience with electrofishing, netting, sampling and identification of fish species in Ireland.
