Fishtek Consulting are currently looking to recruit a Fisheries Scientist.

As one of Fishtek’s fisheries scientists, you will have a wide range of day-to-day activities, working within a small team to ensure successful project delivery. All team members are encouraged to manage projects and resources (staff, equipment, costs etc.), including liaison with clients, stakeholders and government agencies. As such, staff should be confident in their expertise and knowledge with a sound understanding of relevant fisheries legislation and current developments within the aquatic sector.

Fisheries scientists are involved in all aspects of a project from inception to completion. They will prepare initial quotes and supporting tender documents, and carry the project through to the final submission of the deliverable (report, technical document etc.) for client review. Staff will frequently be required to undertake site visits and surveys, including electro-fishing and water quality monitoring.
