IFM Photography Competition Results

The results are in!

We are pleased to report that we had many fantastic entries into this year’s competition and the standard was high. The theme was the realm aquatic and we had an amazing breadth of subject matter. We were very lucky to have a panel of judges made up of highly respected and award-winning photographers and they had a tough task of ranking the entries.
After careful deliberation by the judges we emerged with three winners, but it was a close-run thing. All of the winners were placed first and second by the three individual judges, whilst the overall winner amassed a higher combined score from submitting several high-quality images.
By now you will have hopefully explored the new website and many of the competition entries can be seen as standout images on the pages. We hope to use all of them on the website at some point in the future.
We will run the competition again in 2021 so please keep an eye out on the website for more details about this in the new year.

This year’s winners were:
1 st place Alan Walker
2 nd Place Georgie Bull
3 rd Place Robert Rosell

Congratulations to them, Alan wins a complimentary place at one of our conferences next year and the two runners up win a copy of the beautiful book; Eels: Biology, Monitoring, Management, Culture and Exploitation: Proceedings of the First International Eel Science Symposium.
Well done to everybody who entered, the feedback from the judges was very complimentary so please do enter again next year.
