This offer is now closed for new registrations. We will open it again at the end of August

With the announcement of a third UK lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, coupled with the cold winter months and restrictions on angling and other activities we expect people will have a bit of time on their hands at present. To try and alleviate some of the boredom, and to keep people engaged in fish and fisheries, we have once again made all of our Certificate Course units available as standalone units.

This is a great opportunity to try one or more units without having to commit to the full course. However, if you do enjoy it and want to take the full course we will be offering a discount equal to the amount paid following the June exams.

The units available are

  • Water Quality
  • Freshwater Biology
  • Angling and Recreation
  • Fisheries Law
  • Fish Culture and Husbandry
  • Fisheries Management and Improvement
  • Fisheries Enforcement

You can find an overview of the unit content here

Each unit comes with a handbook and supporting materials which will be sent to you electronically so that you can download it onto whichever device works best for you. The course is set at level 3 which is the same as A levels.

The units will also be assessed by open book exam in June. The exams are taken at home so there is no need to attend any venues to pass the course. All successful candidates will be issued with a Certificate of Unit Achievement. There is no need to take the assessments if you don’t want to.

Each unit passed can be used as credits towards the full Certificate Course should you want to take your learning further.

Details on the full Certificate Course can be found here or email [email protected] with any questions.

This a great opportunity to keep the brain ticking over whilst sampling some of what our courses have to offer. We have a dedicated course manager so you have a direct point of contact for any questions.

The cost for each unit is £75 and you can take as many as you wish.

To make your selections please put a 1 in the box next to the units you want to take on the registration page
