Following the success of our unit only offer we have decided to make this offer a slightly different permanent offer including all eight units from the course.

This is a great opportunity to try two units without having to commit to the full course. However, if you do enjoy it and want to take the full course, we will be offering a discount equal to the amount paid for the trial.

The units available are

  • Water Quality
  • Freshwater Biology
  • Angling and Recreation
  • Fisheries Law
  • Fish Culture and Husbandry
  • Fisheries Management and Improvement
  • Fisheries Enforcement
  • Fish Health and Welfare

You can find an overview of the unit content on this document Certificate Module Descriptions

Each unit comes with a handbook and supporting materials which will be sent to you electronically so that you can download it onto whichever device works best for you. The course is set at level 3 which is the same as A levels.

The units will also be assessed by open book exam in either January or June of the year you join. The exams are taken at home so there is no need to attend any venues to pass the course. All successful candidates will be issued with a Certificate of Unit Achievement and if you decide to continue on a do the full course the results will count towards that Certificate.

There is no need to take the assessments if you don’t want to, but each unit passed can be used as credits towards the full Certificate Course should you want to take your learning further.

You will also have the opportunity to attend the field course weekend to develop some practical skills to back up the theory side of the course. You Will also be able to attend the Evening Webinars to further enrich the learning experience. These Zoom sessions will dive into specific topics, followed by interactive Q&A segments.

Full details on the Certificate Course can be found here or email [email protected] with any questions.

This a great opportunity to do some fishery management related learning without having to commit to the full course. We have a dedicated course manager, so you have a direct point of contact for any questions.

The cost for this trail offer is £150.
