This is an online workshop organised by the IFM in conjunction with the Environment Agency and funded by rod licence income.

The IFM and EA have worked together over the past few years to host a series of aquatic weed control workshops. These events are normally held over a full day and have representatives from angling clubs, associations and fisheries in attendance. With the ongoing uncertainties due to the Covid pandemic we didn't think it was right to hold an event in the traditional way, so we have decided to take it online instead again this year.

Attendance is free but you must register to be sent the link.

Numbers are limited so register today if you are a fishery owner, run an angling club or fish a water that has weed problems and you want to know more.

We are very lucky to have a number of expert speakers presenting talks on the following subjects

  • Creating balanced fisheries.
  • Managing algae in fisheries
  • Herbicides, dyes and other tools in the managers toolbox
  • Mechanical control of aquatic plants
  • Identification and management of invasive species
  • Biosecurity for fisheries. How to keep out the nasties
