IFM and EA Aquatic Weed Control Workshop

Workshop Details

This is an online workshop organised by the IFM in conjunction with the Environment Agency and funded by rod licence income.

The IFM and EA have worked together over the past few  years to host a series of aquatic weed control workshops. These have been both in person and virtual events.

Managing aquatic vegetation is essential for maintaining healthy fisheries, balancing ecosystems, and maintaining water quality. This workshop will provide delegates with information on how to identify, assess and manage problematic aquatic plants within their waters.

Workshop sessions will cover

• The importance of aquatic vegetation in fisheries
• Algae control
• Nutrient management
• Invasive species and biosecurity
• Mechanical control of invasive plants
