The Institutes specialist conference series has been running for over 10 years but this is the first time we have taken it online. We have put together four different sessions which will be delivered over two days to minimise peoples time commitments.

The aim of the conference is to highlight the requirements and restoration / enhancement approaches for various different species to try and encourage more holistic thinking when people are looking at aquatic habitat restoration.

We have brought together a wide range of speakers from academia, government agencies, River and Wildlife Trusts, consultancies and conservation groups.

Conference sessions will cover

  1. River habitats
  2. Landscape scale thinking
  3. Considering species other than fish
  4. Restoring habitats

The programme moves from urban canals to seagrass and water voles to pearl mussels, taking in Scottish drones and Irish rivers on route. This is certainly one of the most diverse programmes we have ever put together for an IFM specialist conference.

The conference programme can be downloaded here

The conference will be held on Zoom and full login details and guidance will be sent out to all delegates in advance.

In advance of the event delegates will receive a delegate pack with speaker details and talk abstracts. After the event delegates will be sent a recording link to watch the sessions again as well as electronic copies of all the talks.

Full CPD points are available for Chartered delegates
