We aim to bring together some of the leading practitioners for two days of presentations, posters and field trips.

Speakers will be representing the Environment Agency, Cefas, NASCO, Atlantic Salmon Trust, Hull, Glasgow and Newcastle Universities as well as a number of consultancies.

Day 1 will consist of a morning of formal presentations followed by a trip to Rodley Weir on the River Aire for presentations and discussion on the study being carried out to assess the weir and fish pass.

We have also just added a mini workshop with our main event sponsors Vemco and RS Aqua at the end of day 1. This is the delegates opportunity to bring ideas for any acoustic telemetry project ideas, issues, problems or solutions for consultation with the experts from the two companies. Delegates are encouraged to bring ideas / issues of any scale and for any species to the mini-workshop for consultation, and are encouraged to bring supplementary material if necessary (maps of potential receiver arrays, range test results etc.)

Workshop sessions will cover

·         Tracking of migratory fish

·         Project planning

·         Monitoring the behaviour of adult fish

·         Monitoring of juvenile fish and other species

The workshop is supported by the leading tag manufacturers and staff will be on hand in the trade area to update delegates on the latest technology in this rapidly developing area of fishery science.
