The IFM has been holding its specialist conference each spring for the past 7 years. Over that time we have covered a diverse range of subjects from screening fish at power stations to lamprey, forestry and agricultural impacts on fisheries. Although these are niche topics they attract a range of specialist from the UK, Europe and further afield. Our last specialist event had delegates and speakers from 15 different countries. For 2017 we will be concentrating on renewable energy production and the interactions with fish and fisheries, with particular attention paid to the Severn estuary.  We will have two days of formal presentations, open forums and networking opportunities.

Conference Sessions will cover

  1. Tidal Power
  2. Assessment Approaches & Learning Lessons
  3. Fisheries of The Severn Estuary
  4. Hydropower (double session)
  5. New Technology
