Symposium Details

This symposium brings together leading experts, practitioners, technical specialists and policymakers to examine how emerging technologies are transforming the monitoring, management and protection of aquatic resources.

Across a series of focused sessions, the programme will highlight the latest tools, research advances and collaborative approaches shaping the future of fisheries science and management. Content will span both marine and freshwater environments, with particular emphasis on the practical application of blue and green technologies across the sector.

The symposium places strong emphasis on interdisciplinary working, bringing together biologists, engineers, ecologists, data scientists and field practitioners to share experience, challenge thinking and drive innovation.

Over three days, delegates will take part in presentations, poster sessions and panel discussions, alongside dedicated networking opportunities, including a symposium dinner. A small trade exhibition will also run throughout the event, showcasing industry-specific companies and services.

This event provides a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, partnership building and discussion to support sustainable fisheries and the responsible management of aquatic ecosystem
