This year’s IFM specialist conference will be focused on the issues facing fish and fisheries from climate driven changes and the corresponding management actions. Following a year of record temperatures, low rainfall and greatly reduced water levels in rivers, reservoirs and groundwater supplies the Institute felt the time was right to dedicate is annual specialist conference to this important field of work. The conference will bring together speakers and delegates from across the UK and Europe for two days of talks, posters and networking. Conference sessions will cover
  • Fish in a changing climate (double session)
  • Extreme flows
  • Protecting and restoring aquatic environments
  • Impacts on fish communities
  • Management of flows
  • Flows and fish migration
