This workshop is organised by The Institute of Fisheries Management and will feature international fish taxonomic leads for the identification of fish species encountered within the estuarine and coastal waters of the UK.

The course will provide the opportunity for hands-on fish identification and fish monitoring, with delegates supported through a range of skills gained in decades of field monitoring experience. The course will be run as either a complete estuarine & marine fish package, or delegates can choose to attend the fish ID or field monitoring elements.

The course is fully accredited by the Institute of Fisheries Management and participants will be assessed on both their taxonomic and field skills, with successful delegates being awarded the IFM certificate for Estuarine & Marine Fish Taxonomy on completion of both elements of the course.

The event is kindly hosted by Dr Ken Collins, Senior Research Fellow within the Department of Ocean and Earth Science.
