Welsh Branch covers the whole of the Principality of Wales and has close ties with North West, Midlands and South West Branches.
On Thursday 10th March 2016, the Welsh branch hosted in Cardiff, a presentation by Emma Downie of the South East Wales Rivers Trust. She gave a fascinating talk about the work of the Trust on the Rivers Taff and Ely. This was followed by the branch AGM where an all female committee was elected, a first for the IFM we believe and what better way to celebrate the week in which International Women’s day was held. The previous, long standing Chairman of the Branch Jim Gregory has done a sterling job leading the branch over the years and decided to let someone else take over the reigns, though Jim will still play an active role in the branch.
The branch are always on the lookout for new members and you’ll be assured of a warm welcome, just get in touch with any of the committee, their details are below.
